Presentation of “LIFE ZSW” at MARMO+MAC 2025 exhibition

For the third time, the IS.I.M. responsible, Ing. Paolo Marone, presented at MARMO+MAC 2025 Exhibition in Verona, the ZSW project and the results obtained during the first project period: the completion of the PILOT SITE ONE (at ALFA MARMI) and the setup of the PILOT SITE TWO (at MARINI MARMI).

Completion of the first demonstration site at ALFA MARMI

The coordinating partners, IS.I.M. and ALFA MARMI, announced that the activities related to the set up and test of the first prototypal ECOGEO plant (foreseen by LIFE-ZSW project – Task 3.1) have been finalized and the installed equipment (GEF, GEM+GES and GEA) are fully operative. Startup of second demonstration site at MARINI MARMI – Castro (BG)
The staff of TEKSPED and of IS.I.M., together with the technical manager of IS.I.M. Ing. Paolo Marone and the Project Manager, setup and start the first test with a small mobile version of GES mixer, at Marini Marmi processing plant, in CASTRO (Bergamo province – IT).

Second Replication Workshop

Floriano Tosato from TEKSPED), on 28/09/2024, representatives from the Spanish partner ALGUEÑA STONE (Juan Manuel Verdu and Javier Verdu) visited the ECOGEO plant installed at the facility of the partner ALFAMARMI (with the presence of CEO Dr. Tommaso Prisco), assisted by Eng. First Pilot Plant

On July 12, 2024, the project partners TEKSPED and ISIM, hosted by the partner
ALFAMARMI where the first pilot plant was installed, held a first
introductory workshop on Zero Stone Waste technologies. At this event some of the representatives of the Verona stone industry; the Verona Stone District and the University of Verona, which is promoting the technology in the Veneto Region, following up a collaboration agreement signed in recent months, were attending.

ANNUAL ASSEMBLY OF CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE

On the occasion of the annual assembly of CONFINDUSTRIA MARMOMACCHINE, attended by over 120 associated industries from the Marble supply chain and important representatives from institutions (MAECI, MIMI, ICE/ITA, SACE, Verona Fiere, Federcostruzioni, the three trade unions, consortia, professors from major Italian universities, representatives of banks and financial institutions, etc.), the European LIFE-ZSW (ZERO STONE WASTE) project was officially presented, with an introduction by Honorary President Dr. Flavio Marabelli.
